Our Story

Hotel das Amoreiras is a matter of passion.

Since my childhood I have been fortunate to experience the great hospitality of grand Hotels. Those unforgettable memories were the roots that led me to this new chapter of my life, leaving behind more than 20 years of an international banking career to follow a dream together with my wife Alicia and our three children. 

Hotel das Amoreiras’ life began in 2016 when I spotted the first town house in Praça das Amoreiras and later the second one in 2017 with the idea of joining them together to create a small but grand hotel in what I consider to be one of Lisbon’s most charming and exclusive garden squares.

We personally took care of every single detail, designing and selecting pieces exclusively for the Hotel reflecting the influences of the years lived in London, Geneva, Madrid, and of course Lisbon, my hometown. 

In September 2022 and after an extensive and complete refurbishment, Hotel das Amoreiras finally opened its doors.

As a personal project, it would have never been possible without the endless and invaluable support and enthusiasm of my family and friends to whom I shall always be profoundly grateful.
